Cancer support group
The Cobram and District Cancer Support Group meets on the first Friday of each month at 1.30 pm at Killara House, Bank St, Cobram. New members are welcome and people can turn up on the day or phone beforehand. The group operates with the generous support and funding from Ritchies IGA. The Cobram Historical Society meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Old School in Punt Rd. Meetings start at 8 pm. The society’s aim is to foster an interest in the history of Cobram and district. The society maintains the Log Cabin and collects local items of interest to display at the Old School. Barooga social bowls
Want to meet new people while learning a new sport? Join Barooga Sports Bowls Club’s bowlers’ coffee club on Wednesdays at 9.45 am. No previous experience needed; flat shoes are required. Bring a friend or just come by yourself. Tuition is in a relaxed game format followed by coffee at various locations. Inquiries to Ruth Campbell on 0438 426 615 or just turn up.
Cobram and District Toy Library is open every Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 11 am during school terms in the Family Services building, 16 Hay Ave, Cobram. The toy library offers affordable access to a varied selection of safe, clean and ageappropriate toys, catering for children from birth to about six years. Yearly memberships start at $30 for duty members and $70 for non-duty members. Families can borrow up to six toys a fortnight.
