B-grade win­ner was Jimmy Ryan with 37 pts, with Paul Wis­nei­wski run­ner-up on a count­back with 36 points. C-grade win­ner with 43 points was Barry Davies, fol­lowed by Ross Lacy with 39 points. This event was com­bined with the fi­nal of the Sil­ver Medal, won by Carol Pet­tit (29) 73 nett. It was also the fi­nal round for the best re­duced hand­i­cap and Golfer of the Year. A-grade re­sults: Robyn Jack­son won with 71 nett, Marie Stace was run­ner-up 72 nett and Milly Ruigrok had 30 putts. B-grade: Carol Pet­tit won with nett 73, run­nerup was Deb Ryan with nett 73 and the putting was won by Jill Sheedy with 31 putts. Pro balls and balls down-the-line to 76 nett.

SATURDAY COM­PE­TI­TION October 14: Stable­ford, Old course. John Parkin­son won the A-grade event with 39 points and Tony Wouters scor­ing 42 points won B-grade. Near­est the pins, 6th: Clint Dick­ens ; 12th: Craig Black­hall; 17th: Ray Toy. Ash­ley Kennedy had a hole-in-one on the eighth, giv­ing him an ea­gle and the prize for the money hole. Women’s win­ner was Marg Ma­jernik with 35 points. Sophia Crouch won near­est the pin on the 12th and Marg Wal­lace the 17th. Balls went to 32 points.

WILT­SHIRE KNOCK­OUT Re­sults for the first round: Dave Mathews and Ross Lacy won their match on the 19th. They will now play Ian Lin­say and Ian Chanter (they won 2-up) at 12.26 pm this Saturday in the semi-fi­nal. Ash Tea­gle and Johnny Beard won 3-1 and will play Joe Hr­dina and Ray Bill at 12.34 pm. Ray and Joe won their first round match 5-up with three to go.
