Cobram Lions Club’s regular Log Cabin Market has a special cause this Saturday.

All funds raised will be donated to Lions Biggest BBQ, an annual event undertaken by Lions clubs across the country.

Money raised by the barbecue will fund childhood cancer research in labs across Australia.

Australian Lions Cancer Research Foundation trustee Peter Lamb said he was deeply moved by the continued yearly efforts of Lions volunteers.

‘‘It never ceases to amaze me what Aussies can do when they work together,’’ Mr Lamb said.

‘‘Who would have thought the good old Aussie barbie could have been used to help Lions raise over $10 million for childhood cancer research?’’

Lions Log Cabin Market is on this Saturday from 8 am in Federation Park with lots of fun activities for all.

Members of the public are invited to browse the stalls, enjoy a snack and donate for a worthy cause.
