Carol Pettitt won A-grade with 41 points, runner- up Milly Ruigrok 39 on a countback. B-grade winner was Jill Toohey with 40 pts on a countback to Steph Hodges also with 40. Nearest the pins: Marg Majernik 8th, Helen Adkins 17th, closest second shot Theresia Beard 6th. Down-the-line balls and pro balls went to 37 pts on a countback.
SUPER VETS October 18, West course. George Hocking won this nine-hole event on a countback to Max Harrison. Alan Lowndes and Barry Kennedy combined well to win their match 2/1, Barry Gook and Geoff Hall won theirs 4/3 and Tony Wouters and Noel Milligan lost their match 3/2. SATURDAY COMPETITION October 21, West course, stroke, Monthly Medal round. Barry Gook and Noel Stephens tied with nett 67, forcing a play-off next round for the October Medal. A-grade was won by Barry Gook with his nett 67, and the scratch winner was Ross Percy on a handicap of three having a score of 79 gross. Noel Stephens won B-grade with a nett 67 as well, and Dave Woods with 90 shots won the scratch event. Nearest the pins: 8th, Steve Naughton; 13th, B. Miller, which was also the money hole; 16th, Geoff Hall. Balls: four balls to 68, three balls to 71, two balls to 73 and one ball to 76 nett.
WILTSHIRE KNOCKOUT Semi-final results: Dave Mathews and Ross Lacy won their place in the final by defeating Linsey Smith and Ian Chanter 3/2. They will now play Joe Hrdina and Ray Bill who won their match 5/4 against Ash Teagle and Johnny Beard. Women’s winner was Fran Thatcher with 70 nett. Fran also won nearest the pin on the fifth hole; Max the Axe on the 13th. Balls to 77 nett.

Joe Hrdina won the day with 37 points closely followed by Tay Wallace and Paul Wisneiwski who both had 36 points and received three balls each.
