Divi­sion one v Co­bram

Round three saw Tocumwal travel to Co­bram. With a cou­ple of play­ers away and a cou­ple of new ones in, it was un­sure how the Bloods would go against a tra­di­tion­ally strong Co­bram side.

Tocumwal lost the toss, with Co­bram elect­ing to bat first.

Open­ing bowler Jesse Barker again had an early break­through, tak­ing a wicket in the sec­ond over.

Christina Roberts took out the bowl­ing hon­ours for the day, with 2/14 off five overs. The home side bat­ted out the 40 overs to fin­ish with 9/120.

Tocumwal took to the crease but Co­bram struck in the third over, tak­ing the wicket of Michael Roberts for 11.

The Bloods set­tled down well, end­ing their in­nings on 5/188. The wel­come in­clu­sion of Matt Bur­rowes saw him take out the bat­ting hon­ours with 92, while Ranji Oliver made 32.

Great work again this week.

Tocumwal hosted Ber­ri­gan at the week­end for their round two game.

The Bloods bowled out the Ber­ri­gan team in the 33rd over for 86, only giv­ing the visi­tors four ex­tras for the match.

Bowl­ing for Tocumwal, Dale Chan­dler took 2/17 off seven overs; Dar­ren White took 2/5 off two and Adam Jar­ret fin­ished with 2/15 off five.

The home side passed Ber­ri­gan’s to­tal in the 19th over, fin­ish­ing with 3/102. Keith Stevens top-scored with 32, while Greg Whe­lan made 17 and Rod Booth fin­ished on 13 not out.


Tocumwal has com­bined with Fin­ley and Jer­ilderie to put to­gether a great lit­tle team this year.

Tocumwal was a firstround vic­tor against the Boarder Cults (Ba­rooga and CYU com­bined) in the Twenty20 match on Fri­day night.


The un­der 14s side fin­ished its first-round, two­day match against Ba­rooga.

Tocumwal bat­ted in week one and started the sea­son in fine fash­ion.

Open­ers Har­vey White (42) and Chase Hard­widge (43) both re­tired, while Hunter Hard­widge fin­ished with 12 not out.

The Bloods fin­ished with 4-145.

This week saw Tocumwal field­ing. C. Hard­widge, P. Ben­nett, A. Bouch­ier, M. White and J. O’Neil all took a wicket each.

Ba­rooga bat­ted out the 40 overs for 5/81.
