Junior athletes sprinted and threw their way into the record books at Barooga Little Athletics’ recent meeting.
Caitlyn Clifford broke her own centre record in the girls under-11 100 m sprint with a time of 15.05 seconds.
Her record equals the boys under-11 100 m record set in 2009.
Not to be outdone, Mackenzie O’Dwyer broke her own centre record of 6.6 m in the girls under-10 shot put, with a throw of 7.11 m.
Barooga Little Athletics’ Katrina Kerr said it was a fantastic event with 168 personal bests achieved.
‘‘This week’s $10 General Store voucher went to Oliver Benson. Oliver is always encouraging others to have a lot of fun,’’ she said.
‘‘An important reminder to all parents and athletes. According to Little Athletics Victoria rules, athletes must wear shoes for all events.’’
Some $5 Wingates Intersports encouragement vouchers went to the athletes below for great participation and not giving up.

Hang time: Taiten Rudd won the under-11 boys high jump with a leap of 1.22 m.
