Last Satur­day’s games were played in ideal con­di­tions with a good at­ten­dance. Win­ners were T. Pearce, V. Ken­dell and I. Bray from run­ners-up C. Thomas, C. Struthers and C. Doherty. Pre­sen­ta­tion Day will be held on Sun­day, May 13 and the an­nual gen­eral meet­ing is on Tues­day, May 15. The Fri­day mem­bers’ draw has now reached the limit of $200 and will be drawn to reach fi­nal­ity next Fri­day. Mem­bers must be in at­ten­dance to col­lect the voucher spon­sored by Co­bram BP.

BA­ROOGA SPORTS Last trade day of the cur­rent sea­son was held at Finley RSC where the win­ners of the day were Archie West, M. Mar­aldo and D. Polk­in­horne with 60 points and 31⁄2 wins. Sec­ond also with 31⁄2 wins but with 58 points were Brian Hutchins, Ge­off Ward and Ian Bolten. Pe­ter Ware, Pe­ter Rus­sell and John Sul­li­van also had 31⁄2 wins and 57 points so they took the best first game prize money. Best sec­ond game win­ners were Arthur Mor­gan, John Gil­lard and Keith Vis. Best third game win­ners were Pat Quinane, Pe­ter Beasley and Brian Doyle and best fourth game went to Col Far­rar, A. Jones and Jeff Seamer. The jack­pot re­mained un­touched and will start off next sea­son at $300. Tocumwal Golf Bowls is of­fer­ing a game each Thurs­day of two-bowl, two ‘n’ walk pairs dur­ing May so if you are in­ter­ested get your name in to re­cep­tion at the Golf Club. Keith’s Fri­day was held this past week in per­fect weather and 28 bowlers at­tended, at­tempt­ing to win the jack­pot which is now worth $170.50 — but it did not go off this week. Win­ners of the day were Kel Smith (vis­i­tor from How­long) and Lance Jenk­ins with +21, with run­ners-up Fred Pin­nuck and Joan Greel­ish with +11. Best first game went to Ger­ald Rothe and Ma­ree O’Brien with +11 and best sec­ond game went to Faye Neal and Helen Quinn with +6. Satur­day was a so­cial day with bowlers from Heatherdale join­ing in and once again in per­fect weather ev­ery­one had a good time. Re­sults not to hand at time of go­ing to press. The an­nual gen­eral meet­ing is on May 7; the Mur­ray Bowls an­nual gen­eral meet­ing will be held on May 28 and women’s ap­pre­ci­a­tion day is set for Satur­day, May 12 at noon.
