Members are enjoying social bowls on Wednesdays and Saturdays while the weather holds.
On Wednesday, twobowl Scroungers was played with rink winners being Barb Turner, Marj Carlisle and Carol Doherty.
Saturday triples winners were Jim Burkitt, Frank Wallace and Marj Carlisle.
The final of the men’s triples was played on Saturday with Allan McDonald, Russell Sullivan and Colin McDonald the victors.
The annual general meeting was held last night with the office bearers for the coming season being installed.
During the week Medley pairs was played but unfortunately details are not to hand.
Keith’s Friday was a wet, cold day so was called off before a bowl was bowled in anger so no details to advise there.
The women’s appreciation day was held last Saturday and a nice meal was served up by the men to a small but appreciative crowd.
As well as the meal a few party games were played and a fun time was had by all those that attended.
On Sunday the first of the Sunday social days was held where bowlers played three-bowl pairs and 20 people attended for a relaxing social day.
These days will be held each Sunday at 1 pm from now on, so get your names in on the sheet on the notice board and come down and enjoy a game of bowls over the winter months.
Winners of the first day were Jon Nash and Arthur Lewis who took the major prize, but all winners took home a chook.
