Cobram Roar 3 lt Albury Hotspurs 4 In round eight, Cobram Roar came up against a strong physical side in Albury Hotspurs.

The first half saw both teams evenly matched.

Seb Fotia opened the scoring with a goal from the square through heavy traffic. This set up a great contest and both teams were kept busy with the ball racing up and down the field.

The midfield work rate of Noah Sullivan, Declan Cheong and Noah Sneddon was superb and the backline of Hunter Goodin, Nick Wood and Toby Shilling stood solid in defence, denying Albury Hotspurs any scoring opportunities.

The Roar was surprised early in the second half by a quick goal by the Hotspurs. However, the boys retaliated quickly with a great goal from Sam Wood.

The intensity of the game lifted with both teams equal on the scoreboard.

Albury Hotspurs took advantage of a rare opening in defence and hammered home a long-range shot which found the back of the net. Not to be outdone, the boys rallied and Seb Fotia finished off a great run forward with his second goal.

The game moved up another notch and became a tough physical contest.

Albury Hotspurs scored again with another longrange kick.

The Cobram players took up the challenge again and began their relentless attack on goal. Unfortunately, they were beaten by the clock.

Overall, it was a great contest and the team was unlucky to come away with a loss. Goals: S. Fotia, S. Wood. Best: N. Sullivan, N. Wood, N. Sneddon.
