Put forward a great project

Regional communities have more time to put forward great local ideas for funding, with the Pick My Project deadline extended to July 8.
The $30 million Victorian Government initiative gives people 16 and over the chance to come up with a project idea that will make their community a better place, as well as the money to deliver it.
Through the program, regional communities can access $15 million in project funds, with a minimum of $1 million guaranteed for each Regional Partnership Area.
With just a few simple criteria, great community ideas could receive funding of $20 000 to $200 000.
Applicants can submit an idea which helps build a stronger community, with the backing of a local organisation, community group, school, local council, or other eligible group, and the project could come to life within a year.
The application process can be completed online at pickmyproject.vic.gov.au
When all applications are in and assessed, projects will be published online in August, so applicants can start encouraging friends and neighbours to vote for their project and other favourites.
