Nathalia Ro­tary Club’s sev­enth an­nual Art Show will have a dif­fer­ent feel this year af­ter Ro­tary de­cided to move it from late win­ter, to warmer weather con­di­tions in mid-spring.

On from Oc­to­ber 26 to 28 at Nathalia Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, club trea­surer and show com­mit­tee chair Eve Attwood is con­fi­dent the date change will add an ex­tra di­men­sion to the show.

‘‘We hope to at­tract more artists and vis­i­tors at this time of year, we think the warmer weather will help in­vig­o­rate the event,’’ she said.

‘‘Al­ready we have had in­ter­est shown and re­quests for en­try forms from first-time artists to our event which is ex­cit­ing.

‘‘New to the art show is the fea­tured artist and Co­bram artist Mel­ida Lem­pio, who will fea­ture a va­ri­ety of her pieces at the event.’’

State Mem­ber for Shep­par­ton Suzanna Sheed will of­fi­cially open the ex­hi­bi­tion on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 26, at 7.30 pm

Art will be again be judged by Julie Gross McA­dam and win­ners an­nounced on open­ing night.

On Fri­day, there will be fin­ger foods and drinks. There will be cater­ing by Nathalia Coun­try Women’s As­so­ci­a­tion Night­watch group on Satur­day and Sun­day, with pro­ceeds go­ing to CWA causes.

There will also be a raf­fle, with tick­ets cost­ing $2 each or three for $5 for a framed pas­tel piece called Lost in Time by Ms Lem­pio.

The raf­fle will be drawn about 3 pm Sun­day. The win­ning artist for the peo­ple’s choice award will be an­nounced at the same time.

On Fri­day night, doors to the Nathalia Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, Robert­son St, Nathalia, will open at 6.30 pm. En­try is $10 an adult.

The venue will be open be­tween 10 am and 4 pm on Satur­day and Sun­day. En­try is $5 an adult on those days.
