Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 23, men’s health char­ity day.

Thanks to the busi­ness houses in Co­bram and Ba­rooga for their gen­er­ous sup­port. A suc­cess­ful day with $8500 raised for the Co­bram hospi­tal.

Wed­nes­day, west course, sta­ble­ford.

Play­ers had the choice of buy­ing mul­li­gans (get out of trou­ble chit). Monies raised for this went to the stroke foun­da­tion.

Lor­raine Fox won A-grade with 39 points, ahead of He­len Bar­clay with 37 points.

B-grade win­ner was Sue Her­bi­son with 37 points and Jenny Gould was run­ner-up with 37 points on count­back.

Near­est the pins were won by Liz Jewell and He­len Bar­clay. Denise Har­ri­son the sec­ond shot sixth.

Balls down-the-line and pro balls went to 33 points on a count­back.

Wed­nes­day su­per­vets, saw Peter Buller win with a nett 36.

Balls were given to 39 nett, won by Don Dodd, Norm El­liott, Peter Spalding and John Dob­bie. Graeme Landy won near­est the pin. Graeme also won Gi­u­liana’s prize.

Next week is on the west course back nine at 8.30 am.

Thurs­day, old course, sta­ble­ford, 76 play­ers, two grades.

A-grade was won by Matt Geisler with 43 points. David Lewis the B-grade win­ner with 40 points.

Near­est the pins were won by Ross Lacy, Barry Kennedy, Lyle (ABC) Her­rick and Gra­ham Kerr.

Balls down-the-line: four to 40 points, three to 39, two to 38 and one to 37 on a count­back.

Women: Edna Wis­niewski with 37 points. Near­est the pin: St­effi Vo­gel. Two balls to 36 and one ball to 34 points.

Satur­day, , old course, sta­ble­ford.

A-grade win­ner was Peter Bond with 38 points, while ever con­sis­tent Sam Condy took out B-grade with his 39 points.

Near­est the pins were won by Si­mon Crimeen, Arnie Man­ual, Rod Thorpe and Brian Eddy. Brian choose the right hole the eighth to win the pro pin.

Balls down-the-line: four to 38, three to 37, two to 35 and one to 33 points.

Women’s win­ner Max­ine Sadler scored 34 points on a count­back.

Jan Cur­ran won near­est the pin on the 12th hole.

Two balls to 34 points, and one ball to 31 points won by vis­it­ing golfers.

Wilt­shire knock­out fi­nal on No­vem­ber 10 at 12.34 pm.

Win­ners from the semi-fi­nal round: Paul Wis­niewski and Michael Mitchel­son to play Will Power and Liam Mathews.

Mixed knock-out re­sults from Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 28, to play the semi-fi­nal on Sun­day, 11.

Win­ners: Frank and Ruth Mess­ner to play Paul and Edna Wis­nei­wski, and Joe and Christina Hr­dina to play Rhonda Ret­tke and Mike Sher­lock.

Sun­day, med­ley sta­ble­ford, west course, one grade.

Den­nis Staff proved prac­tice makes per­fect, win­ning the day with his 41 points. Mark Jaen­sch scored 40 points to be run­ner-up.

Carolyn Hug­gins is still a win­ning streak scor­ing 38 points (watch that hand­i­cap com­ing down). Balls went to 33 points.

Sun­day slomen, spon­sored by Bruce Ha­ley.

A-grade was won by Ron Smith with a nett 37 on count­back. Wayne Magee won B-grade with nett 35.

Balls went to a nett 43. Peter Bar­rie, Tim Nolan, Ryan Med­craft, John Dob­bie, Ryan McDiarmid, Max Har­ri­son, Roy Hart and Bruce Ha­ley.

Near­est the pins were won by Ron Smith and Peter Bar­rie.

Ryan Med­craft had the long­est drive and the NAGA was handed to Norm El­liott.

Next week front nine old course, Com­mit­tee Tro­phy R2.
