Three hours fun, $2 or $10

The Coffs Coast Advocate - - LIFE -

FOR A little over 10 years East Coast Poker has been providing poker to clubs and pubs around the Coffs Coast region. As East Coast Poker is an entertainment company, they have changed some poker rules to make the game easier for everybody to learn and have a great time.

Players range from 18 to 80 (you must be over 18 to play).

East Coast Poker’s oldest patron is lovely lady in her 80s who is fond of saying “I love my cards”. All the games are in a fun safe environment, starting from as low as $2 to $10. Almost every game (except Fridays) gives you a second chance if you get knocked out early to come back in.

Don’t worry if you don’t know how to play poker, the team at East Coast Poker will teach you. Turn up to any game at the start of registration which is one hour before the game starts and you will be shown the simple basics. Most games are $10 to play and have an approximate duration of three hours. East Coast Poker guarantees to keep you there for a minimum of an hour and a half having fun! Three hours of fun for just $2 or $10 (except Fridays) – that’s pretty great value.

There is $1500 up for grabs every two months at C.ex Coffs and that is a $5 game. Go to East Coast Poker’s page on Facebook for information on dates.

Next Saturday, March 25 at the Plantation Hotel there is an $10 unlimited rebuy game, with a 1pm registration and a 2pm start. The previous rebuy game was in Urunga in January and the money up for grabs was over $1600.

With 10 venues, as far north as Grafton and south as Urunga, one can play poker almost every night.

South Grafton Ex-Servicemen’s Club is East Coast Poker’s newest venue which is on Wednesday nights with a 6pm registration for a 7pm start, as well as the Plantation Hotel which is Sunday evenings with a 5pm registration for a 6pm start. Check out the advertisement on the bottom half of this page for other venues and start times – and mention the advertisement if you have never played poker before to get a free entry into your first game at any venue.
