The Coffs Coast Advocate - - NEWS ONLINE -

PAINKILLERS have been linked to a increased risk of cardiac arrest.

A 10-year study of nearly 30,000 patients found use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs were associated with 31% increased risk of a cardiac arrest.

From 2018, painkillers containing codeine sold in Australia will require a prescription.
