THERE were 484 head yarded at Grafton Fat Cat­tle Sale on Septem­ber 12.

Num­bers in­creased this week as the con­tin­u­ing dry pe­riod pushes producers to sell.

Not all ex­port buy­ers were in at­ten­dance, which saw the bul­lock mar­ket ease up to 20c/kg.

Cows, how­ever, sold fully firm. Sale high­lights:

AB He­riot sold steers 267.2c/kg weighed 435kg – $1162.32p/hd

W&S Donoghue sold heifers 234.2c/kg weighed 620kg – $1452.04p/hd

Clive Rich­mond sold heifers 239.2c/kg weighed 580kg – $1387.36p/hd

Also sold vealer steers 296.2c/kg weighed 246.7kg – $730.63p/hd

RJ&RE Waugh sold cows 220c/kg weighed 625kg – $1375p/hd

Also sold steers 282.2c/kg weighed 341kg – $964.77p/hd
