Time to hunt out good spot
WE’RE going to have a bit everything this week for surfers on the Coffs Coast.
It’s a real spring pattern with winds moving around a fair bit.
Today will have a small south swell with light winds and the best places to surf will be the open beaches.
The swell will pick up from the south on Sunday with winds south making the southern corners the pick.
Moving into next week the swell will hang around but winds will turn to the north early in the week before going back to the south.
There will be quality waves everyday you will just have to change locations each day to suit the conditions. Local surf news WOOLGOOLGA junior boardriders held their third competition of the year last Sunday in challenging waves at Woolgoolga main beach.
There was a small turn out but the groms competing stepped up in the challenging conditions.
Winners on the day were under-14 girls Bonnie Hills, under-12 boys Ryder James, under-10 mixed Will Martin and under-8 mixed Luca Martin.
The fourth and last comp for the juniors is on Sunday, October 15.
