Printing a flying insect picture

The Coffs Coast Advocate - - HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES -

USE your own hand and footprints to create insect art. Hand and footprints make great wings for butterflies and dragonflies. You will need: white card; acrylic paints; paint brush; scissors; popsicle stick; googly eyes; pipe cleaner; glue; magnet How to create: Paint the palm of your hand or sole of your foot with paint. Use more than one colour. Press your hand or foot firmly down onto the card to make a print. You will need to make two to four depending on the number of wings needed. After the paint dries, cut out the handprints/footprints. Glue on the googly eyes and hand/foot prints. Cut a pipe cleaner in half. Glue each half onto the back of the popsicle stick and curl the ends of the pipe cleaner to make antenna. Glue a magnet onto the back of the stick so you can place your artwork on the fridge.
