NORCO has lost a tender with Northern NSW Health Local Health District to supply 300,000 litres of milk to local hospitals. Minister for Health Brad Hazzard has been asked to intervene. Norco, which employs more than 300 people in the region and sources milk from 214 dairy farmers in northern NSW and Queensland, was undercut on the tender it has been revealed. Alternative markets will now have to be found for the excess milk.
