Art finds new home in Coffs
RECENTLY established notfor-profit organisation Planet Art Inc has officially opened its art gallery.
Located at Park Ave Lane, the gallery will see the provision of art-as-therapy classes for teenagers and young adults with mental health issues, as well as people with disabilities, the unemployed, school-age children and others.
The art gallery also has a mission to promote regional artists including those from ethnic and indigenous backgrounds and refugees.
Although only small, the place will also be intermittently used as an art studio by some of our local artists.
The art gallery was opened on Friday as part of Mental Health Awareness Month.
