LOVING THE COFFS COAST
NICE CATCH: Spotted at South Solitary Island, this cormorant was lucky enough to come across a fresh feed of red rock cod. The bird paddled around with it in its beak before lifting up its head and swallowing it whole. Red rock cod are also known as the eastern red scorpionfish and have 12 venomous spines on their dorsal fins. You wouldn’t want to think of one of these flipping around inside your belly.
