Taking a date to the work Christmas party

The Courier-Mail - Career One - - News -

Make sure the office Christmas party isn’t your first date. Go out at least once beforehand to get to know each other.

Work out prior how you met because everyone will ask. Many are comfortable saying they were introduced through a dating agency, but some aren’t.

Make sure the other person is confident about the situation. Is the person you’re taking comfortable with mixing on their own?

Limit alcohol to three drinks or less. You could embarrass yourself, and if you end up in bed together at the end of the night, you’re likely to blow your chances of a long-term relationship.

If you don’t have a romantic connection with anyone, think about taking someone you simply get along with well.

Introduce your date as your friend.

Have fun and be yourself. If you try to be someone different, you will be found out.
