There are about 19,100 sales, marketing and public relations professionals working in Queensland, up from about 13,500 a decade ago. Most workers are employed in advertising and marketing (8800), followed by technical sales (5600) and public relations (4000).

About 336,900 clerical and administrative workers are employed in Queensland, up from about 342,900 five years ago. Most Queenslanders in the sector (78,900) are employed as general clerical workers, in roles such as keyboard operators. Another 72,400 people work as numerical clerks, such as payroll clerks, and 60,500 are employed as inquiry clerks and receptionists.
HEALTH INDUSTRY/SNAPSHOT/ NEWS/MOVEMENTS
There are about 125,300 health professionals in Queensland, up from about 106,800 just five years ago, and about 69,000 a decade ago. Most workers (66,300) are registered nurses, while 17,800 are health therapy professionals, such as occupational therapists and podiatrists. There are about 11,000 general practitioners and resident medical officers.
