Moorooka a hotspot
DEVELOPER Blugras Investments is wrapping up construction on its Moorooka Links residential development on Brisbane’s inner south.
Moorooka Links, on Hamilton Road, has 118 residences in a mix of 29 townhouses and 89 apartments across two buildings.
Two-bedroom apartments are priced from $402,000 while three-bedroom townhouses with double lock-up garages start at $515,000.
More than 82 have been snapped up to date, with buyers attracted to the location of the development according to Position Property sales manager Adrian Harris.
Seven kilometres to the Brisbane CBD, Moorooka Links is also in a prime location for students, 10 minutes to The University of Queensland, eight minutes to Griffith University and six minutes to the State Tennis Centre.
“Many purchasers have purchased as owner occupiers and are looking forward to enjoying the convenience of a short stroll to the train station and the mere 19-minute ride to work in the CBD,” Mr Harris said.
Nearby is the convenience of Moorooka Central with shops and cafes while the Brisbane Markets and Fairfield Gardens shopping centre are close and accessible by either bus or train.
In the PRDnationwide Research Hotspot report last year, Moorooka was named among the Brisbane suburbs forecasted to perform well in both the house and unit sectors in the coming years.
Mr Harris said the predictions for the suburb had been reflected among the buying demographic with many investors purchasing into the development.
“Moorooka Links is the first of its kind in the area,” he said.
“As Brisbane’s population is rapidly growing Moorooka, next to Yeronga and Tarragindi, is really the next suburb along to follow in the domino effect as property purchasers vie to be close to amenity and the CBD.”
There are 31 two-bedroom apartments and five three-bedroom townhouses available for sale.
All the properties are airconditioned with stone kitchens and quality appliances. Residents have lift access and facilities include a pool, gymnasium, barbecue area and fully landscaped gardens.
