ENJOY INSPIRED OUTDOOR LIVING
One of Australia’s leading home builders, Metricon, offers home designs that integrate multiple outdoor living and entertainment zones to embrace Queensland’s climate and lifestyle.
Metricon design director Adrian Popple said outdoor living and entertainment zones such as decks, porches and patios were in high demand and part of a growing trend where they featured as an extension of a home’s indoor space.
“In Queensland, we love the outdoors and we love entertaining; this makes outdoor rooms or alfresco living really popular in our home designs,” he said.
“Our customers are demanding more conveniences from the indoors for these areas, including kitchens with cooking islands, pizza ovens, refrigerators and sinks. They are also adding the types of furnishing and accessories you would see in any room inside the house, such as rugs and cushions – made with weather-resistant materials.”
Mr Popple said the outdoor spaces at Metricon’s display homes across Queensland were great examples of this popular trend and how it could be implemented to perfection.
“For example, the Designer by Metricon Denver at Jimboomba Woods, Jimboomba incorporates an outdoor cooking, dining and lounge area complete with a fireplace, all overlooking a pool,” he said.
“The Designer by Metricon Franklin at Coomera Retreat, Upper Coomera blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor living with bifold doors opening to an outdoor dining room with views through to a pool and gazebo.
“And Signature by Metricon Meridian at Cova, Hope Island features a grand outdoor room on the ground floor, bordered by a stunning infinity pool, while the balcony off the main bedroom has been transformed into an outdoor sitting room.”
Mr Popple said Metricon’s home designs offered the flexibility to add outdoor zones.
