This year’s Master Builders Queensland Housing and Construction Awards paid homage to the best in the state’s building and construction industry.

Mr Galvin said they had hundreds of entrants from across Queensland for the awards, making choosing the winners a tough call.

“The 2017 Queensland House of the Year went to Mancorp Quality Homes for their luxurious Bribie Island abode,” he said.

“Spread over two blocks of land and three levels, this spectacular island home is all about the ‘wow’ factor. The main living, dining and kitchen areas boast uninterrupted views of Pumicestone Passage and the Glass House Mountains.

“The guest wing contains four villas, each with their own ensuite and kitchenette.

“Complete with all the trimmings, the quality of finishes and attention to detail found around every corner is second-to-none.”

Mr Galvin said the awards also provided an opportunity to recognise talent.

“I’d like to congratulate all 58 winners, and wish them the best of luck as a selection of winners is put forward to compete against the best from each state in their respective categories at the National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards,” he said.
