CURVE TAKING SHAPE
A Sunshine Coast developer will break ground on its $37 million lakeside residential complex next year, but there has already been plenty of interest from the medical fraternity.
Curve Birtinya will feature 55 luxury one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments within the heart of the Oceanside Health Hub – a 17ha development alongside the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Launched in midSeptember, Cube Developments director Scott Juniper said there had been six expressions of interest and one apartment sale.
“It soon became obvious that our potential buyers would likely come from those connected to the hospital, or people who wanted to be close to health facilities,” he said.
“But having said that, people are also attracted by the new precinct and the fact our development is focused on the owneroccupier more so than investors.
“We designed it with that in mind ... larger, liveable apartments with everything you need in walking distance.” Mr Juniper said they had also focused on ensuring the building itself was a “showstopper”. “Architecturally, we have gone to another level,” he said.
Construction is expected to start in January 2018 and be completed by January 2019.
Each apartment will boast northerly water views, spacious light-filled interiors, high ceilings, quality appliances, generous balconies and room to entertain.
The spacious apartments are also expected to be popular with empty-nesters keen to downsize but not ready for a retirement village setting.
“You can paddle in the lake, jog around the boardwalk, visit local restaurants and cafes, work out in the on-site gym or enjoy a Sunday morning coffee in the beautiful park next door,’’ Mr Juniper said.
Apartments at Curve Birtinya range from $385,000 for a one-bedroom apartment to $1.05 million for a three-bedroom penthouse with rooftop terrace.
Curve Birtinya is a $37 million project just launched lakeside in the heart of the Sunshine Coast's world-class health hub.
