Many young and growing families in search of affordable housing are recognising the benefit in moving out of established cities and into areas undergoing major development.

However, contrary to what people might think, moving to outer fringe areas isn’t always synonymous with isolation, says Master Builders’ display village manager Andrew Rockley. “In fact, this growing residential market is being catered for with the uprise of masterplanned cities,” he said.

“Designed with liveability and lifestyle in mind, masterplanned cities promote community connectedness through extensive recreational areas, local infrastructure and easily accessible public transport and the convenience of local services and other amenities right on the doorstep – functioning as standalone cities in their own right.”

Mr Rockely said Springfield Land Corporation’s vision for Greater Springfield, in Brisbane’s thriving western corridor, was being brought to life in what was reported to be the largest masterplanned city in Australia.

Located about 30 minutes from Brisbane’s CBD, 15 minutes from Ipswich city, and 50 minutes from the Gold Coast, Springfield Rise at Spring Mountain is under development and envisioned to be an urban address imbued with an abundance of lifestyle and leisure opportunities.

“It will be home to about 12,000 residents and 4000 homes, with essential infrastructure right on the doorstep,” he said.

“From inviting streetscapes to natural open spaces to dining and shopping precincts, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to play and explore.”

Mr Rockley described Greater Springfield as southeast Queensland’s fastest growing region, and added Master Builders and Lendlease would next year be unveiling the Springfield Rise display village at Spring Mountain. He said the village, which will be Master Builders’ largest display village in Queensland, was set to feature 54 homes built by 22 builders.

“Development has commenced and we plan to open for trade in the latter half of 2018,” he said.”However, people don’t need to wait until next year to inspect inspirational homes and take advantage of opportunities to buy house and land packages in the great Springfield region.

“Head out to Master Builders’ awardwinning Springfield Lakes display village at Sunset Place to see 16 quality homes built by 11 of Queensland’s most reputable builders.”
