CREATIVE IDEA FOR A BUSINESS
A new Brisbane-based business is helping to minimise the stress of choosing stunning pieces of artwork to hang in your home or your office.
Created by three Brisbane mates, online company Artify allows artists to upload their pieces and share their profile pages, with the company taking care of any sales, printing, packaging and shipping.
Artify directors and founders Liam Tovey, Aldin Fejzic and Fedja Mehinagic have created a comprehensive artist network to give artists everything they want.
“While other print-on-demand marketplaces do exist we have only ever offered the highest quality materials which is great for the artist and consumer,” Mr Mehinagic said.
“The artists are from all corners of the globe and any type of artwork can be uploaded.
“This ranges from fine art paintings, photography, calligraphy, digital art, Aboriginal and architectural-style art.”
The mediums currently on offer are canvas, framed, acrylic, wood and poster.
Depending on the style and theme within the home, they promise they have something to enhance every room.
Mr Mehinagic said the business had committed to giving back 80 per cent of profits to the artists, while 20 per cent went to marketing and keeping the business going.
He said Artify had pledged to always serve the artist by maximising both the profit for the artist and quality of product sold.
“Every single piece is handcrafted by artisans in Brisbane, therefore any issues are eradicated almost immediately,” Mr Mehinagic said.
Canvas and ink combinations are independently certified by the UK Fine Art Guild to last for more than 75 years.
Fine art rags used in framed print utilise archival inks which have been tested and approved by the Fine Art Trade Guild and designed to last generations, and are archival to more than 100 years.
The company started as a garage-based business but now employs more than 50 staff across three countries.
It supplies a range of high quality products including canvas prints, Lumi Tiles, Lumi Grids, ICEmounts and fine art prints and picture framing.
The partners say they are keen to make it the greatest worldwide artist platform.
Noosa underwater photographer Justin Bruhn is just one of the artists on the platform.
