Queenslanders building their dream home or renovating are wanting a bold, modern-look for their interiors.

Imperium Glass, located at Ormeau, have specialist interior designers to help dreams come true.

Director Steve Djuric said his company had undertaken successful major transformations using unique design methods. He said clients wanted a bold, modern style in their homes.

“We have utilised New York marble to create standout island benches by passing light through,” Mr Djuric said.

“This accentuates the veins in the marble and creates a wow factor in the kitchen and a feeling of abundance within the kitchen area.

“Other great projects have included the use of timber veneers on polished concrete floors. The two elements work well together mixing the hot and cold of the materials for a standout look.”

Mr Djuric said their designs were complemented by great lighting.

“We always implement our expertise in this area as if it’s not done correctly you cannot achieve the desired outcome in an upmarket kitchen,” he said.

Black matt cabinetry with rose-gold fittings and fixtures are the “new craze” for kitchens and bathrooms, he said.

“Mix this with a powder-coated black framed glass panels for your shower and grey-honed limestone tiles from the Stone Centre in Brisbane and it will look a million dollars.

“We are seeing so much more black in the modern bathroom. It’s a classy look that makes a bold statement.’’
