NOT all bike riders want to look like an outlaw or Valentino Rossi.

Many just want to be comfortable and protected.

BMW has produced a stylish suit (right) which is both and can be worn in all seasons; hot, cold, wet or dry.

The ComfortShell features wearresistant elastic material developed with Swiss company Schoeller which has pores that open in warm weather and close in the cold and wet.

There is no separate waterproof membrane to zip in and out and then have to stash in panniers or bags.

While most all-weather products are a compromise, this suit fulfills its promise.

In recent hot weather, it had a cool flow-through feel helped by front and back zippered vents, then stayed dry through a heavy downpour and warm on a couple of cold mornings.

There are also water-resistant zippers and pockets to keep valuables safe and dry.

They have the usual removable certified soft protectors that mould to your joints, and absorb impact, not shattering like hard plastic protectors.

The jacket comes in men’s and women’s sizes and cuts in black, blue and red with black trousers.
