NUM­BERS GAME Hyundai-Kia’s Namyang tech­ni­cal cen­tre has 15,000 en­gi­neers and sup­port staff, more than 150 build­ings and 3000 test cars be­ing tri­alled at any time. Dur­ing a jour­nal­ist visit this week we spot­ted more than 12 Kia Stinger pro­to­types and dis­guised ver­sions of the group’s all-new baby SUV. SHOW STOP­PER Range Rover is about to unveil a big brother for its sub­ur­ban­ite Evoque. Said to be based on the plat­form of the Jaguar F-Pace, it will be re­vealed at the Geneva mo­tor show in the sec­ond week of March and Bri­tish sources pre­dict it will be called Ve­lar. 370Z NISMO ON CARDS The sec­ond Nismo per­for­mance model for Aus­tralia will be the 370Z. The GT-R Nismo has just been launched and, de­spite ear­lier hints that the per­for­mance sub-brand’s sec­ond model would be based on the Juke, the 370Z is def­i­nitely the next to get the go-fast treat­ment.
