It is not only European and Japanese car makers that are omitting full-size spare wheels. I bought a 2016 Ford Falcon XR6, which had only an emergency spare. When I queried the salesman, he told me that a full- size item would not fit in the boot without a lot of alterations. Since then I have found that he didn’t know what he was talking about. Overall I am very happy with the car, which is very comfortable, with a good seat position, and economical for a six. That’s a dealership that needs to be shamed, because they know that a full-size spare will fit.
