Bidding rivals fight for a gem

TWELVE registered bidders competed for a Hamilton property before it was sold under the hammer for $650,000.

More than 60 bids were taken at the on-site auction for 21 Allen St, marketing agent Sally Kortlang from Ray White Ascot said.

“There were very happy buyers and sellers,” she said.

“Located in a perfect location a short walk to schools, shops, public transport, the CBD and the river, it’s hard to ignore the potential of this property.

“A little TLC will convert this residence into a fantastic family home with room for a pool.

“Update the existing character features to produce a gorgeous renovated home, give the VJ walls a coat of paint, show the polished floors a little love or raise the existing residence and build in underneath.”

Set on a 405sq m block with two bedrooms and one bathroom, there is also a large dining room and living room on the upper level.

Other features include a covered balcony and large back yard.

On the ground level is covered parking for one vehicle and plenty of storage room.
