THE number of properties newly listed for sale in Brisbane has dropped from the same time last year.
With fewer new listings to choose from, competition can improve for those who already have their properties on the market.
According to the latest figures from RP Data, there were 2257 new listings over the past four weeks in Brisbane, down by 4.5 per cent at the same time last year.
The number of properties on the market overall in Brisbane at the moment is also down on last year.
There are 17,825 listed for sale, 13.7 per cent less than the same time last year.
Award-winning architect Liam Proberts and his wife Cathryn have listed their Rosewood St, Bardon home for sale.
Mr Proberts designed the home. The two-level home has an eco-friendly design with indoor and outdoor entertaining areas. It is on a 714sq m block that has a swimming pool with a clear viewing panel.
The home is being marketed through Glynis Austin Properties.
On the Gold Coast buyers were out in force this week for the Ray White Surfers Paradise Group’s The Event.
More than 100 properties were put to auction with 52 selling on the day or prior to auction.
Dr Noel Cleeve sold his Park Lane apartment at Peak Ave, Main Beach for $720,000.
He has lived in the apartment since 2000 and had decided to move closer to family in Mermaid Beach.
The two-bedroom unit has an office and separate dining area. The apartment has views of the ocean and northern coastline.
Each of the four main rooms opens on to a private balcony.
Anthony and Katarina Puljich paid $1.405 million for a home in Admiralty Drive, Paradise Waters, which they intend to knock down and build a new house on the site.
It sold for well over its reserve price.
