Some healthy respect

The Courier-Mail - QWeekend - - MAIL BOX -

What an awesome column by Mary-Rose MacColl (Upfront, July 12-13) about the appreciation of her family doctor. A recent trip to a clinic – due to a heart issue – disgusted us. The doctor said he didn't have time to do an ECG. We had already waited over an hour and a half – and we had an appointment. Our regular general practitioner was unavailable but he has been caring for us for years and in that time has never hurried us up. I tell him how wonderful he is and wish this tradition of family doctors would return.

Julie Rose, Bellmere
