I thoroughly enjoyed reading “Winners' circle” (July 12-13). I was in the crowd, cheering on Kenrick Tucker the night of the 1000-metre sprint final at the 1982 Commonwealth Games. Sheer power and ingenuity won Kenrick the gold medal. I still have my program, which he signed, and have always admired this incredible athlete who, in my book, put cycling on the map.
