His del­i­cate house style is one of fruit and site pu­rity with no dis­trac­tions from overzeal­ous oak or ex­ces­sive ex­trac­tion. 2012 Scorpo ( $ 50 ) Paul Scorpo’s home vine­yard lies in Mer­ricks North. Although del­i­cate, this wine has a lot of author­ity on palate, and its width, weight and por­trayal of tan­nins au­gur well for cel­lar­ing.
