Tough guys help

-

SOME of the toughest men and women in Queensland will be putting their best feet forward for charity in a huge martial arts event at Cleveland Showgrounds on August 22.

Thirty competitors will put the boot into each other and kickstart fundraising efforts for four-year-old Ipswich girl Sophie Leonard, who has been fighting an aggressive form of cancer called neuroblastoma since doctors found a tumour the size of a fist on her kidney last year.

Martial arts great John Wayne Parr, who also held the national junior-middleweight boxing title, is training three fighters for the 15-bout Muay Thai card.
