Burns girl, 3, still crit­i­cal


A GIRL, 3, re­mains in a crit­i­cal but sta­ble con­di­tion with se­ri­ous burns af­ter al­legedly be­ing set alight at a Perth home.

A 43-year-old man, ac­cused of pour­ing a liq­uid over three chil­dren and set­ting them on fire at a Dou­ble­view home on Fri­day night, ap­peared in the Perth Mag­is­trates Court on Satur­day on griev­ous bod­ily harm charges.

Po­lice say a seven-year-old girl has since been dis­charged from Princess Mar­garet Hos­pi­tal while a six-year-old boy re­mains with his fam­ily.

The charged man is ex­pected to be back in court to­mor­row.

Po­lice were called to the home at 12.05am on Satur­day.

An off-duty po­lice­woman, who the ABC re­ported lives in the street, went into the home and took the chil­dren to a nearby res­i­dence to pro­vide first aid.
