HER clothing was barely there, she danced with drag queens and staged the obligatory “nip slip” on live television, but none of Miley Cyrus’s antics at yesterday’s MTV VMAs were overly shocking.

Perhaps that is because we have seen it all before.

The 22-year-old pop star nearly broke the internet two years ago when she twerked her way through a VMAs performance. Yesterday, she hardly raised an eyebrow with her repetitive stunts.

The self-confessed “vegan nudist” made nine revealing costume changes throughout the show, one of which resulted in her flashing a nipple.

She discussed her already well-publicised marijuana use, dropped multiple swear words and told Justin Bieber, 21, to call her “when he’s legal”.

Her jokes fell flat and her recorded skits were widely panned on social media.

Most of the attention went to Taylor Swift, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj, with Swift, 25, and her girl crew stealing the show.

In the strongest showing of girl power since the Spice Girls, the Shake It Off hit-maker delivered a knockout punch from the moment she arrived on the red carpet with her lady squad.

Flanked by her Bad Blood costars, Swift collected the gongs for Pop Video, Female Video and Video of the Year.
