Japanese giant on way, jackets and all
PUFFER jackets will invade Brisbane later this year, when Japanese retail giant Uniqlo opens its first Queensland stores.
Indooroopilly and Brisbane City are on track to open by summer with a huge 2000 sq m concept store earmarked for the old Broadway on the Mall.
The large storefront will make it Uniqlo’s second biggest store in Australia, filled with the brand’s signature sta- ple clothing, homewares and infamous puffer jackets.
Brisbane shoppers will have access to the full range of products available overseas starting with the new spring/summer range.
But if jobseekers were hoping to take advantage of Uniqlo’s new four-day working week, they will be disappointed; it’s currently only available to Japanese employees. JACINDA TUTTY
