LATE GENERAL BRIDGES: ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE FUNERAL Melbourne, August 31 – Arrangements are completed for the funeral of the late Major-General Bridges, the officer commanding the first Australian Division of the Australian Imperial Force, who was killed in the early dawn of the landing of troops in Gallipoli. The body will be bursed on Friday at Duntroon, close to the military college of which the late General was the commandant for some years.
