TELSTRA LEADER BASHES THE BUSH Moves to force Telstra to provide services to the bush were unfair and likely to damage the telco, one of its top executives said. Telstra’s second-most powerful man, Phil Burgess, claimed the US would be stuck in the 19th century if it had adopted Australian-style telecommunication policies. He said Telstra was being turned into a loser by being forced to provide services to the bush.
