Comedian’s MTV police skit no joke

AUSTRALIAN comedian Rebel Wilson is under fire from black American activists for joking about police injustice during a skit at the MTV Video Music Awards.

“A lot of people have problems with the police,” said the 35-year-old actress (pictured), who was dressed in a police uniform while presenting the award for Best Hip-Hop video.

“But I really hate police strippers,” she continued, be- fore undressing to reveal a shirt that said “F--- Tha Stripper Police”.

“You guys know what I’m talking about. They come to your house, you think you’re getting arrested, and you just get a lap dance that is usually uninspired,” she said.

The skit did not go down well with Black Lives Matter activists, who accused the Pitch Perfect 2 star of trivialising the police killings of black people.
