- ANNA CALDWELL

NICK Kyrgios must step up or shut up at the US Open today, with his showdown against Andy Murray set for prime time on centre court.

All eyes will be on the bigmouthed brat (left) and Murray (right), who have been handed the coveted night-time spot, relegating crowd favourite Roger Federer to the day schedule when he opens his campaign against Leonardo Mayer.

The 7pm New York match (9am Qld time) confirms tour organisers view Kyrgios as a major publicity driver for the Open.

He will be part of a conn tingent of nine Australians ns taking to the court for day ay two.

But he is the onlyy one facing a hostile reception from the 22,000-strong crowd at Arthur Ashe Stadium on n the back of his now w infamous “Kokkinnakis banged your ur girlfriend” sledge. e.
