AUS­TRALIA’S women’s quad scullers have booked a place in their fi­nal at the world row­ing cham­pi­onships in France by win­ning their heat.

Queens­lan­ders Jes­sica Hall and Madeleine Ed­munds and crew­mates Kerry Hore and Jen­nifer Cleary beat China and the US in their heat in Aigue­belette.

Toowong’s Tim McDon­nell made the quar­ter-fi­nals of the light­weight men’s sin­gle scull with sec­ond in his repechage.

Dou­ble scullers Sally Ke­hoe and Olympia Alder­sey will go to the repechage tonight (Qld time) af­ter be­ing run­ners-up be­hind Lithua­nia in their heat.
