CQ in liq­ui­da­tion


THE Cen­tral Queens­land Rugby Union has been placed into cred­i­tors’ vol­un­tary liq­ui­da­tion but com­pe­ti­tion fi­nals and the ju­nior sea­son will not be af­fected.

CQRU mem­bers voted unan­i­mously to go ahead with the dras­tic step on Thurs­day with the ap­point­ment of Ferrier Hodg­son as liq­uida­tors.

Clubs from Rock­hamp­ton to Moura and Black­wa­ter to Gladstone are gov­erned by the CQRU.

The Na­tional Rugby Cham­pi­onship clash be­tween Queens­land County and Perth Spirit will go ahead as sched­uled in Rock­hamp­ton on Septem­ber 19.
