British tourist charged over death
A BRITISH backpacker, 20, has been charged with causing a crash on the NSW Pacific Hwy that killed a teenage girl on holidays with her family.
The victim, Jade Finn, 16, from the Hunter region, was travelling with her family near Port Macquarie on Thursday when the man’s van allegedly collided with their car.
The female driver, 37, and a girl, 9, were flown to John Hunter Hospital and are believed to be in a stable condition. The driver has been charged with negligent driving causing death and not giving way.
