Tiffany and Co buys classic Hepburn script for $1.1m
AUDREY Hepburn’s script for Breakfast at Tiffany’s has sold for a record $1.1 million – eight times its upper list price – at a London auction.
Tiffany & Co o bought the 140- page script, paying a record price for a film script,t, The New Yorkk Times reported.
“Still today,y visitors from around the worldd travel to our icon- ic Fifth Ave (New York)Y k) flagfl ship to create their own Audrey Hepburn moment in front of the famed Tiffany windows,” it quoted Tiffany’s chief brand officer Caroline Naggiar. Christie’s auctioned 246 items once owned by Hepburn (pictured), which fetched $7.9 m million, more th than seven times th the pre-sale estimate.
