Third teen enters race

The Courier-Mail - - WORLD -

WICHITA: A third teenager says he wants to be the governor of Kansas.

Ethan Randleas, 17, will contest next year’s gubernatorial race to replace incumbent Governor Sam Brownback.

Kansas has no law governing the qualifications for governor. The Kansas City Star reports that Mr Randleas will run as a Republican and calls himself a “conservatarian”, which he says is a mix of conservative and libertarian. The other teens are Tyler Ruzich, 17, and Jack Bergeson, 16.

A candidate pays $US2207 to run or $US670 if they gain 5000 signatures on a supporting petition.
